Vision
We want to be a Church dedicated to serving the needs of Anthem, Phoenix and the World.
Core Values
Be Doers
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
James 1:22

Be Humble
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Matthew 23:12

Show Love
Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment."
Matthew 22:37-38

Forgive Freely
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:13

Serve Others
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.
1 Peter 4:10

Suffer Well
If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
1 Peter 4:16

Focus
We want to help equip people to:
Worship
We believe that growing disciples of Christ should participate in both corporate and private worship.

Serve
We believe that growing disciples of Christ should use their unique gifts to further the gospel in The Church and beyond.

Grow
We believe that life on life connection through groups is an important catalyst to one's spiritual growth.

As we seek to fulfill our mission, we want to:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Matthew 4:4
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16
By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.
John 13:35
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep My laws.
Ezekiel 36:26-27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27
Beliefs
This is a summary of our core convictions.
It is not intended to be a comprehensive description of all aspects of life and faith.
God
We believe that God is the loving Creator of all things.
He is eternal and completely good, knowing all things, having all power and majesty and exists as three distinct personalities with distinct roles, yet one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God passionately desires relationship with us and invites us into a relationship of faith, friendship, learning, and service.
Genesis 1:1; John 14:6-9, 15-17 and 16:7-15; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 4:9-10; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
We believe God expressed Himself in human form through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary.
He lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of all, was buried and rose again from the dead. He has ascended to heaven and will return in triumph.
Romans 5:5, 8; John 14:26, 16:7-14; 1 Corinthians 12-14; Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 3:16, Ephesians 4:3-4, 5:18
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, sent from God to live within all who believe in Jesus,
teaches, comforts and empowers us, giving each follower diverse gifts, fostering unity, interdependence, productivity, Christ-like character and love.
Colossians 1:13-23, Colossians 2:8-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Acts 10:42-42; Matthew 22:36-40; Hebrews 1:1-3
The Bible
We believe that God speaks to us through the Bible, and that it is our privilege to embrace God's message and apply it responsibly to our lives.
The Bible is our standard in all we say and do, containing God’s unchangeable truth for our lives, and is without error as originally transcribed. It is our guide.
Salvation
We believe that all people are created with dignity and value in God's image, to live in a vital relationship with Him. However, through our sin...
...(failing to live by God’s moral standards), we broke our intended relationship with God and experienced the destructive consequences of that broken relationship, spiritually and socially, in this life and beyond.
However, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue us from those consequences and to restore our broken relationships with God and others, through Christ’s death on the cross, a perfect act of redemption for each of us.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and mankind, and that salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the complete and sufficient payment for their sin.
The Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head.
The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.
Unity
We recognize diversity among Christians in nonessential areas.
We do not press for uniformity in these areas, but rather encourage people to search the Scriptures, seeking balance, mutual understanding, humility and love. Additionally, we seek to respect one another’s differences without a quarrelsome, arrogant or divisive spirit, and to return continually to The Great Commandments, to love God and one another.
The Crossroads also believes that no person, nor group of persons will ever fully capture the complete revelation of God. Therefore, those who follow Jesus must follow Him with humility and an attitude of expectant discovery.
We must also seek to find reasons to include people, not exclude them. And when other equally sincere and Bible-believing followers disagree with our positions, we follow this simple, but powerful motto: In essentials, unity; In opinions, liberty; And in all things, love.
The Crossroads Church is a non-denominational church located in North Phoenix, Arizona.
